    Elder Power is a company dedicated to enabling elders to remain in their homes as long as possible, and to keep them connected to their families, friends, interests and communities. We offer a variety of interdependent solutions which incorporate family connections and community activities with the sensible use of on-site caregivers and appropriate technologies. Our services include advice, friendship, coordination of care and partnership with other community service providers.

    Why Elder Power began

    • We must fundamentally change the way elders are valued and cared for in our country
    • Staying at home safely and comfortably should be an option for more elders
    • As individuals live longer, the need for meaningful social connections continues
    • Maintaining current interests and resurrecting previous ones are important goals of aging
    • The fastest growing segment of our population is that over 85 years old
    • By 2050, there will be 1 million americans over 100 years old
    • Senior involvement is essential to a community’s well being
    • We currently have 35 million Americans over the age of 65, by 2030 there will be 80 million
    • Current costs for assisted living often exceed $50,000 per year. Nursing home care approaches $ 100,000 per year and 24 hour care 7 days a week in home care approaches $200,000 per year
